SMS South Africa’s Long Codes are SMS’s sent from a cellular subscriber’s handset to a specific 10-digit MSISDN number (Long Code).
Long Codes are available on Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, Virgin Mobile and Telkom Mobile.
“Please Call Me” to a Long Code is FREE.
Long Codes (“Please Call Me” lines) allow users to send “Please Call Me’s”, for FREE, to a company’s Long Code for information or assistance. A call center is an excellent example.
SMS South Africa’s Long Code or “Please Call Me” lines solution offers a high performance and reliable method of receiving up to 50 SMS’s per second through a 10 digit SIM. The SIM can be used to receive SMS’s without the normal restrictions of SIM card hosting.
Users may alter the following settings at any time:
- An automated response sent to their clients
- If the incoming SMS should be forwarded to email
- If the incoming SMS should be forwarded to a mobile number
- If the incoming SMS should be posted to a URL
